MULTI CONTENTS LINK
The Japan International Contents Festival (CoFesta) is one of the world’s largest contents festivals. Various events related to the contents industry, such as games, anime, manga (comics)/characters, broadcasting, music and films, are all held in Japan in autumn. CoFesta brings all these events together.
The purpose of CoFesta is for all kinds of contents emerging from Japan to influence each other and to be linked, to create new possibilities while also maintaining connections with the media technology industry for the distribution of contents, and to make a broad appeal to overseas.
◆ Purpose of CoFesta
 |
To have contents in various fields in Japan reciprocally linked and to transmit them to the world; and to provide an opportunity where persons involved in the contents industry from all over the world can experience a multitude of contents from Japan at the one time. |
 |
To make the festival an occasion for new exchange between contents and persons involved in the contents industry from all over the world, especially Asia, and to provide an occasion for the development of human resources who will create the “Japan brand”; and to link this to international coproductions and to the exchange of international business. |
◆ CoFesta 2007 will go for 40 days
Sponsored by the Japan International Contents Festival Executive Committee, the inaugural CoFesta (CoFesta 2007) will be held primarily in Tokyo, and will begin with an opening event on September 19.
