Event Overview The Creative Industry Showcase in Kansai (called CrIS Kansai), a creative festival, is an activity that began in 2007 with an aim of promoting the discovery, development, and exchanges of a broad range of human resources, strengthening the ability to transmit information, as well as forming a market by aiming to energize the content industry and holding related events during a certain period.
In 2009, as the time period and number of events continue to increase, a total of 21 events in seven prefectures of Kansai region will be held including such events as the “Osaka Creative Business Fair,” which is the largest convention for creative business in the Kansai region, and the “Mascot Character Festival in Hikone” in which mascot characters from all over Japan gather together. We are expecting roughly 300,000 visitors to come to the events, which is over three times the number of visitors last year.
In addition, we will transmit the excitement of Kansai content while working in harmony with the business people who are present at each event by doing such things as selecting a CrIS Kansai official mascot character through a general submission process.
