This year too, the awards ceremony for the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs Film Awards, held together with the opening ceremony of the film festival, will present awards for outstanding film works serving as cultural records and guests who have supported Japanese film over many years, and the award-winning film will be shown in a commemorative screening. In addition, various conventions delving deeply into the environment that surrounds film, led by film professionals from Japan and around the world, and the event Director's Angle & Actor's Angle, communicating broadly the attractions of film, will be held as well. This year's Director's Angle & Actor's Angle will shine the spotlight on actors in addition to directors, who were focused on last year, promoting the attractions of film from new perspectives by holding events such as talk shows and all-night screenings of films chosen by participants and fans. Don't miss this Film Week, which adds even more to the week of the film festival.
