| Event Overview | Advances in digital technologies, the start of digital terrestrial broadcasting, and the shift toward broadband Internet access are bringing about major transformations in visual production toward content creation. In addition, visual communication using content for personal, business, and government use is set to see further progress as society undergoes massive changes on a global scale. The National Board of Regional Visual Industry Associations, a nationwide visual-industry association, will hold its National Board of Regional Visual Industry Associations 2009 Forum this fall in Chiba. Through this forum, participants will explore the possibilities of content as a communication tool in the changing society of the future and pursue new forms of content creation and methods of using content in the future. A further goal is to give root to new content-creation industries in Japan, starting in the nation's regions. |
