This year will be the third year of The Japan International Contents Festival. During the three years, we have created platforms that contribute to the advancement of Japanese content industries with different themes each year; the theme of the first year was “New,” the second year “Entertaining,” and the third year “Marvelous.” In the future, we will strive to create new cultures and businesses that aim to succeed on the global stage. - Yutaka SHIGENOBU |
This will be a contents festival that aims toward new globalization. How will the appeal of Japanese content be recognized around the world?
We will begin our challenge in answering this question.
The world is beginning to sense the fascination of Japan. While taking advantage of this trend, games, animations, manga, characters, broadcasting, music, and film will link together to introduce Japan’s unique appeal.
In addition, we participated in the Japan Expo in Paris, France in July, and beginning this year, we have incorporated fashion into our program and promoted new globalism, which will lead the world with a new sensitivity to the times.
An intriguing mix of traditional and contemporary culture… This leads to the creation of unique contents.
This year, we will be holding a variety of events around the vicinities of train stations along the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line from Asakusa to Shibuya.
